A couple of things that I see need clarification:

1. The words "sustain" could mean that the human race merely survives in some numbers in some form however strange and horrible to us today. Or it could mean that the human race 100 years from now is something recognizable to us today; perhaps life will be hard, but recognizable at least. Finally it could mean that our quality of life and values are relatively intact.

2. Does he question seek suggestions for actions to bring about a desired result or merely a dispassionate view of what might unfold, that is, what events could lead to human survival in 100 years?

i was recently a pessimist and now I'm trying to look at myself in a new light... I made a list of all my good qualities and all my bad qualities. the good qualities greatly outnumbered the bad qualities but I've been thinking now for some time that I'm an awful person. My friend recently had her roomate bail on her one week before they were supposed to move into their new apartment. I told her she could stay with me.

Then she wrecked her car, and didn't have insurance, it costs 2500.00 to get it fixed, which she doesn't have. So, she's been using my car.

I got her a part time job waiting tables, so she could save money faster. But now, she is working so much she's not holding up her end at home (ie: laundry, dishes, cleaning, shopping).

When and where do I draw the line?

I never told because I think if she wants anyone to know she can tell the story herself. At 5 yrs old, we didn't know it was bad. It gives me chills to think about his deviance.
The pervert still lives there, and I am not sure whether he realizes I know what he did or not. I havent seen my friend for about 10 years.
