Higher temperatures accelerate glacial melting and disrupt oceanic currents. Won't this cause temperatures to go even higher after the initial warming? It seems that as the heat increases, the temperature would increase exponentially. And won't this lead to a runaway greenhouse effect?

After about 3 weeks of bitter arctic cold in the northeast, we are finally seeing a rising trend in temperatures, into the 30's and low 40's. Does this mean that the jet stream/weather pattern has changed and that we are seeing the beginnings of some Spring-like weather? Is the arcitc miserableness gone for good or could we still see some nasty temps in our near future?

some state(s) in the United States that has great weather all year long, if not most of it, and it is free of threat due to weather conditions? I want to move to a warmer state but can't think of any state that doesn't go through natural disasters. E.g. FL= hurricanes; TX= tornados; CA earthquake, fire, etc; LA= hurricanes... Can you think of any? Thank you in advance for your answer.
