Here is the answer I gave to someone with the same assignment about a week ago.

"Your problem asks for an accurate script. This means use the actual observations - temperature ( no matter whether it is warm or cold you should be able to make some humorous comment related to Global Climate change, right?) wind (depending on whether it is strong and gusty or near calm perhaps you can come up with something you would like to have done under the opposite set of circumstances that is humorous - the kind of clothes you would have worn?? Well I think you get the idea). And as far as humidity what about some bad hair day scenario? I'm not very creative but I don't think you will need to be a professional comedian to get a decent grade here. Hope it turns out well for you. Now use that head of yours. "

One other idea is to type in the question in the search box at the top of the yahoo.answers page and you will find this answer above plus other answers. It's a good way to search the archives for answers.

This looks daunting at first sight because you have been asked to write an accurate script. You might be led to suppose that it needs to be factual and as much like the sort of forecast one could see any night on the tv. These are almost always devoid of any humour in order to get detailed information to the public in a very short time without wasting a word. My suggestion to overcome this impasse is to follow the advice of the other contributors to Answers and watch as many weather forecasts as you can in order to compose a literal script which you can present as the first part of your essay. The rest of the essay would then relate the same script but read as if the presenter had several too many drinks during his/her lunch break. The resultant mangling of the words should give your imagination plenty of scope for humour while you will have fulfilled the requirement for accuracy. Best of Luck, Mick

Weatherman Script

There was a tribe of indians having a pow-wow just before winter started. The tribe wanted to know what kind of weather to expect, so the chief called the weather bureau. He asked what kind of winter to expect and the weatherman said, "We expect it to be colder, windier, and higher snowfall than average."
So the chief called the tribe together and told them to go into the woods and pick up all the dead wood they could find.
The next month, getting closer to winter, the chief called the weatherman again and asked him again what kind of winter to expect. The weatherman said, "Well, since we are closer to the winter months, we get a better idea of what to forecast. And from what we are seeing, it's definitely going to be a harsher winter than normal."
So the chief called the tribe back together and told them to go into the forest and chop down any trees that are dead or that can burn. They spent the next few weeks doing so.
Then on November 1st, the chief called the weatherman again. He asked him if they had a better idea of how much worse the winter was going to be. The weatherman answered, "We are now absolutely sure it's going to be a hard winter. Our guess is very frigid temperatures with a lot of snowstorms."
The chief asked the weatherman, "How can you be so sure - what signs are there for your forecasts?"
The weatherman said, "Are you kidding? The indians are gathering firewood like crazy."
