the distance from those two cities from the equator is about the same but the weather in SF is is from the 50-70's throughout the whole year.

i live in DC and i hate that the winters are really cold and the summers are really hot and humid. i'm so jealous.

Why are temperatures more moderate on the west coast and more extreme in central and eastern US?

On average what percentage of heavy winters follow unusually warm autumns in the South Central United States?

I was wondering how often in the history of North America/United States/South Central region has a heavy winter followed an unusually warm autumn. By heavy winter I mean more than 2 significant snowfalls of 6 inches or more and within the months of December through March.

How does consuming alcohol affect ones body temperature, particularly in cold conditions?

I am a bicycle messenger in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Tommorow the temperature is supposed to be -30 Celsius. Also it will snow and be a slow day. So to keep warm is it really a good idea to take a flask of scotch on route?

It's snowing like crazy in Mission, BC where I am, it's so wierd beacuse it hardly ever even snows like this at christmas, rarely this early in winter.

Farmer's Almanac Weather?

According to the Farmes almanac there is supposed to be a big snow storm for the ohio area...anyone think this will happen?

What is being sprayed by planes in the sky?The stuff looks different to contrails and spread over a large area

you can often see the difference from ordinary contrails. some days i see a clear blue sky slowly get obscured by these planes spraying out clouds of WHAT?. sometimes every cloud in the sky is this plane spew no natural cloud just obscuring the whole blue sky to a hazy sky. What is it and why is noone telling us what it is? or even that it is being done. I see this quite regularly as i work outside most of the time, others must have noticed this going on in the sky.
