On average what percentage of heavy winters follow unusually warm autumns in the South Central United States?

I was wondering how often in the history of North America/United States/South Central region has a heavy winter followed an unusually warm autumn. By heavy winter I mean more than 2 significant snowfalls of 6 inches or more and within the months of December through March.
