1) If you could dream of an idealistic cooling device to beat the heat waves during summer, what will that device be? ( its features, please describe it :) it could be for individual or group sharing. indoor or outdoor.
2) What do you look for in a cooling device?

I heard on the radio that the south didn't get hurricanes because of the desert winds. Does anyone know for sure?
We are thankful for any reason.

I see some very impressive lake-effect bands on radar and reports of thundersnowshowers from BUF. (Thursday night).

Maybe you should wait until it is all over, but the person with the best description gets the 10 points.

In the Poconos I saw snow showers around 8:30 PM tonight (Thursday) with a temperature of 45° - could've been a ° or 2 higher when it began. Cold air aloft moving faster than at the surface - instability - and a few showers - you know the thing.

What I am curious about now is if anyone further E say in NJ saw snowflakes tonight and what the temperature was. I imagine someone saw snowflakes at 50° or a bit higher.

Sorry if this is a completly stupid question but i had a dream a while ago that i made this thing called a bio dome, and since then i have been thinking of this idea! i know it may sound stupid but i have patent it before asking... the idea is a dome like a fish tank that could simulate the world's weather, in the dome you have maybe a replica of your house and garden ect maybe a pond and bonzi trees to simulate real trees you get the idea then have it simulate weather! so you have water in there and have a light that goes around the bowl simulating the sun 12 hours light 12 hours dark could you make it simulate weather i.e. storms ect if you need more info then ask! cheers
