it depends on which part of Louisiana, but like most of the south, the winters are pretty mild, compared to those further north. It doesn't usually get below the mid 20's, and that is considered really cold. More ice storms than snow, though, and that is a real pain

I lived there for about 20 years in many parts of the state. It is not unheard of for a snowfall of 1 - 3 inches in the northern portion of the state. It freezes there, but it does not get extremely low as far as temp goes. The middle of the state may get an inch of snow about every 4 or so years. It seldom goes below the teens there. The southern portion seldom if ever sees measurable snowfall. The usual winter weather is cold but bearable.

What part of Louisiana? It can drop below zero in the northern part and be a bit warmer around New Orleans and more south because of the balmy breeze off Lake Pontchartrain and the Gulf.

I'm in the southern part. Occasionally wear short sleeves in the middle of winter. It does freeze, also.

I am from NE Louisiana...I'm on the MS\LA line along the MS River...today its 63 degrees......it really does not get that cold....we have had some very cold winters but last year, we did not have a cold winter.....I remember back on Christmas, it was warm.......We mainly have ice storms than anything....very little snow........you can always go to http://www.weather.com and type in a city or zip code. in average the highs are in the 60s and the lows are in the lower 40s (based of new orleans) further upstate could get colder
