A 1.4 kg ball is dropped from the roof of a building 100 meters high. While the ball is falling to earth, a horizontal wind exerts a constant force of 12.0 Newtons on it. How far from the building does the ball hit the ground? how long does it take to hit the ground? what is its speed when it hits the ground?

A uniform horizontal line of a matter is l=56,000 km long, and has mass M = 3.6 *10^5 kg. What is the (vector) gravitational force due to the line on a particle of mass m=25 kg located x= 20,000 km to the right? PLease do the problem and write the answer for unknown value of l, M, m and x -and any constants you except for small integers. only at the end substitute the numbers in for the letters.;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

problem 2 ( which is related)
What is the gravitational potential energy of the particle in the previous problem? ( if the particle is an infinite distance away, the potential enery is zero)
The second paragraph of the previous problem applies here.

If a rigid body contains points a,b, and c and is said to be rotating about c with an angular velocity of W

then

relative to 'b' whats the angular velocity

or in simpler words, if one were at rest with (or moving at the same speed as b) what would the angular velocity seem to be??

Please explain how you were able to visualize it( I have problem .... visualizing it)

to 99.9997% of the speed of light, then it's mass grows by some 430 times bigger than the original size. So if a photon goes the speed of light, what was it's mass at rest and what is it's mass at the speed of light?

I think it will keep the fizz in longer, by reducing the air in the bottle, my hubby says that squeezing the bottle creates negative pressure in the bottle which will pull the carbonation out of the soda. Who's right?

Either the cosmos have always existed or the cosmos had a beginning. If they have always existed the problem is that energy decreases and that if the universe were here for an eternity we would see it dying.

If the cosmos had a beginning, then how did "something" (cosmos) come from "nothing" ( pre-beginning).

hypothesize the existence of alternate/parallel universes in which every point in history in which things could have gone differently DID go differently in another universe? Or was I misinformed?

Hello,

We have just studies about semiconductors, diodes and transistors.

They have also taught us about NOT OR AND NAND NOR EXOR AND EXNOR gates.

I want to please my teachers by making a small device that is based on the knowledge of what we have studied,
so can any one please tell me whether i have knowledge enough to make a digital calculator or a Frecuency modulated FM Radio ??
IF yes please tell me how do i make it

IF no please suggest some other device that can be made without really putting in a lot of time into it

Thanks in Advance.
