all molcules of solids are bonded to one another,but they are vibrating around their place what is the approximate displacement of moleculs around their bonding-point? I think it could be in range of micron. is it possible that range of vibration to be approximated in millimeters in room temperature?

For any work energy is required, can there be a situation when this energy supply becomes zero? or the moving electrons have consumed all the energy and the structure of atoms or molecules and the matter collapses. There cannot be perpetual motion without utilising energy. Newtons law of motion holds good in vaccum only....? The electrons say in silicon, a constitutent of quartz do not move in vaccum, so from where does this energy comes? and can this energy be tapped for commercial utilisation, remember we have trillions and trillions of atoms (in a few gram of different matter) all around us and we do not have to use fission or fussion techniques to create energy by splitting or by fusing nucleus...
If we can unlock this energy riddle of the moving electrons, may be one day our progeny can live in a better world with total energy security. I wish we can do it soon..

This is an urgent enquiry. For some time past I am trying to captyre the image of the moon on my large mirror, and then look at the image through my binoculars to see if I could obtain the deatails of the moon's surface. I do not see any difference in perspective , Can someone explain as to why I am unable to see enlarged details, even though mu binoculars are of high degree of magnification? Many thanks

a high resistance voltameter is connected to a high resistance battery. it reads 9.0 V. a 24 Ohm resistor is connected across the terminals of the battery and the voltameter readin becomes 7.2V
calculate the internal resistance of the battery
the ANSWER is: 6 Ohms...
but i am not getting how we got it.....so please EXPLAIN the answer ,THE IMPORATANT THING IS TO EXPLAIN THE ANSWER N NOT DO IT...(of course i wudnt mind if u did it--it wud be a greater help)

i dont understand why the distance between the two electrodes does not matter....it shud matter,,,it does change the resistance after all

I took apart a few electronic devices and I noticed that the electromagnet in them (or solonoid) had bare copper wire wrapped around an insulated metal. Are electromagnets more effective if the wire wrapped around isnt insulated? If so, does the core need to be insulated? If I had made an electromagnet using a stell nail and wire, the nail would become the magnet. Some electromagnets I have looked at have the metal part not just as the core, but also on the sides of the magnet, why?

A permanent magnet has a north and south and if you put two norths together or two souths together, they will repel. I have noticed that an electromagnet doesn't seem to care about north and south poles. In other words, it seems that my electromagnet is only one directional. Are electromagnets polarized? Can you make an electromagnet repel a permanent magnet?

I cannot grasp the concept of speed and time being relative to each other. Can anyone explain to me why exceeding the speed of light would make you move back in time? This theory seems wrong to me, someone please enlighten me.

A hammer action (in a horizontal plane) acts as a propulsion force to a turntable.

The hammer weighing 1Kg depresses a push rod through 1 cms in 0.144 secs, which in turn is attached to a gear “A”. Gear A has a 1” radius and the push rod is attached to gear A at a radius of 0.9”. Gear A is mounted on the same shaft as gear “B” which has a 0.5” radius that in turn engages another gear “C”, which has a 3.5” radius attached to a turntable. (Assume a frictionless environment.)

Questions:
How much work does the hammer do per impulse?
What force is exerted on the push rod?
What force is exerted on gear C?

I read in a book written by Michael Crichton (Time line), that a proof or method of deteriming that parrell universes exists, is by splitting a photon of light. I realise the book is a fictional novel, but I know Michael Crichton, extensively researches his novels, beofer he publishes anything. Basically, if you take a beam of light, i.e. a tourch and shine it at a cardboard that has holes in it, and the cardboard is held a few inches in front of a white wall. the Photons of light split, such that a reflection is made on the white wall. However if you apply filiters to that light, to the extent that only 1 photon remains (i.e. it cannot be split any further) , the reflection (all be it a very faint one), still remains, indicating that the photon was indeed split (which would be impossible?). This refelction is the result of a parrell universes effect on this "world/universe".

My question is...Is the above statement correct, and why?
