Looking through binoculars, would you be able to see your own back? What would travelling through the universe be like?

Say is there was to a a huge hole from one side of the earth to the other, throught the middle...just say there was, and someone jumped down the hole, would they stop in the middle becuase of gravity not knowing which way to pull the person?

Would this person be stuck, or are there any fources that could bring the person to the other side or bring them back?


And also knowing that the is a miricle and that it can be done... jump ignore the logics of it all, just what if?

If a cat always lands on its feet and buttered toast always lands butter side down. Could I get a cat and attatch one piece of buttered toast butter side up to each paw of the cat then picked the cat up and dropped it would the butter side up toast and the cat paws kinda act like like poles of a magnet and repel each other leaving the cat to kinda levitate a few inches above the floor or possibly rotate constantly along its latitudinal axis thus creating an anti gravity machine?

A car accelerates from 5 m/sec to 10 m/sec with an acceleration of 1 m/sec/sec.
a. How far did the car travel during this acceleration?

I don't need the answer to this problem, I would really just like how to get this problem going. The equations on top are the ones I need to use and I have no idea where to start. Any help is great.

ok, i asked something similar earlier...and people answered that to find your velocity you do d/t which is fine, but in this case i'm not throwins straight and theres a bunch more involved so....

Heres the deal: I have:

Dx= 5.45m
t=1.97s
Vx = 2.76 m/s
Vf= 0 m/s
a=g

Now...how do I find either V or Vy to get the missing side and calculate how fast i throw in mph?

I honestly can't figure this out...please help

Can you show or explain to me how you do this.

This is a three part question. But i need the maximum height to the three problems right?

I got 63.7 m
But i think i have to add it to the height of the cliff= 78 m +63.7 m= 141.7m (maximum height?)
