What scientific (mostly involved with physics) reactions occur in the brain when dreaming? I would be very interested in knowing what neurons do and what is involved in the brain stem while dreaming. Any information related with the functioning of the brain while we dream would be extremely helpful! : )

If there was a hole that went right through the Earth and passed right through the core, and an object fell into it, What happens? Does the object go through the Earth and come out the otherside? or does gravity hold the ball right in the middle of the Earth? Would the ball float in the centre?

What is the physical law or property that limits the speed of light to 186,282.397 miles per second in a vacuum? Why can't it go faster? I'm aware of things like Group Velocity and Einstein's velocity addition formula, but those things don't explain the phyiscal limiting property. Does it have to do with the way energy works on the quantum level?

Let a ray of ligth is moving along the z axis away from origin of some inertial frame of reference 'S'. The frame 'S' is moving with speed of light along z axis w.r.t stationary Frame 'T'.Then the ligth should appear stationery to the observer in the S. Then why einstien called speed of light universal constant. Why the speed of light is not relative?. Also we can put this phenomena in a way that time is runing slower. But what when 'S' is moving alog -z axis. Then the ray of ligth should appear at 2c speed or the time is runing faster is it so?

Theoretical Physicists believe that the Big Bang happened without cause and that it created the universe we have today. They also believe that one day the universe will collapse back on itself. If the Big Bang happened once, there is a chance that it could happen again. This could be the billionth universe that has existed. In that case it could be the billionth you or me that has existed. I'm not saying that each universe would have to be the same, but even if they were different 99.99999999999999999999% of the time, there would still be a chance that the same universe would be created, and with infinite time anything and everything would happen. What do you think of this?

above the earth. I need to know How to solve this and where can I look to solve this type of question in the future. Also truck traveling with an initial speed of 33.0ft/s accelerates until it reaches a speed of 77.0ft/s if the acceleration is 4.00ft/s2 how much time is required to reach final speed. I think the answer to 2nd one is 11 sec. however I am not sure I set the problem up right or used correct formula.Note: an answer won't do me any good if I don't know how to solve one like it in the future. Also, if you wanted to know your weight on the moon, would you take your weight in pounds X 9.80 and then divide by 1/6?
