What scientific (mostly involved with physics) reactions occur in the brain when dreaming? I would be very interested in knowing what neurons do and what is involved in the brain stem while dreaming. Any information related with the functioning of the brain while we dream would be extremely helpful! : )

Mostly seratonin being dumped onto the synopse. But alot of endorphins are release along with melatonin to keep the body asleep and paralized. The motor functions are diabled and neuron firing is extremely accelerated, due to the lack of dependence on sensory perception and logic. This would be neurology, not physics by the way.
