One of the main ways that energy travels is through waves. For example ocean waves at the beach are created by the wind and so you can go surfing. Light travels as waves and has energy in it, it can give you sun burn for example or you can convert it to electricity which can run a computer or MP3 player.

there are probably heaps of parrallel universes with nothing they just don't think about it. out of a million possibilities why wouldn't something be there.
