ok we are moving this coming weekend and we have to bc our lease is up. We rent a basement and actually are moving bc its just a ad situation all around. Anyway, it snowed and iced here last weekend and their is like 4 inches on thick ice EVERYWHERE and it look like it is not going anywhere anytime soon with this cold we have. Our door is in the back of the house and we park on the road. we cant move all this stuff on ice and our cars will hardly move what will we do. How can we melt a walk way that long in the ice? Its so hard we cant even break it.

My friend is flying from Boston to Beijing. I am in Beijing. This is the email he sent to me yesterday. Can anyone tell me when I should be going to the airport to pick him up? He told me but I still dont know what day or exact time. Does anyone have an idea?

His email:
My Plane leaves on Monday, technically tomorrow, but I am not exactly sure when I will get to BJ. First off, I am 13 hours behind China time, but Chicago is 14 hours behind. I leave Boston 7:15pm on Monday the 19th. I get to Chicago 9:15pm (Chicago time) and leave 1:00am Tuesday the 20th. That means I should get to Seoul arround 2:00-3:00am Wednesday the 21st. I should get to Beijing somewhere between 5:00 and 10:00am (China time) depending on the layover

It seems that there has been a fundamental (philosophical) redefinition of science (at least among those who fund scientific research) and the scientific method into something that more resembles a traditional engineering model.

At every level, research questions are phrased as if their solution involves defining or estimating known parameters in straightforward systems with almost no unexplained variance.

Isn’t it bad enough that the concepts of scientific theory and hypotheses have already been thoroughly corrupted at the societal level?
