I'm currently trying to do some research work on the social impact of the Theory of Evolution, regarding scientific or technological breakthroughs that are a result of the Theory being published.

For example, I know for a fact that animal testing is done, because the Theory of Evolution states we all have a common ancestor and that the organs evolved fairly early on, so that there are still plenty of similarities between the species. If animal testing did not exist, drugs tests wouldn't really be done. (After all, the drugs would have to be tested directly on humans, and since the test subjects haven't been reassured of its relative safety, they wouldn't participate). Either that or it would be done on vagrabonds.

I'm particularly looking for any examples that would have changed the way our society developed.

Any links to sites that could help me gain an insight would be very welcome.

Creationist and ID answers are not welcome, as they never tell me anything I do not know already.

Just take a minute and look at your watch. Notice that as every second passes, it's lost forever. The entire world is moving in time.

My question is this:-
If time is forever, what will happen after humans die?
There will be a point in time where Earth becomes inhabitable. For example, all natural resources are used, too much pollution, the temperature rises so high that the north/south point ices melt and causes massive floods.

Is it true that when humans die, their memories are lost forever? Where do we go after that? Please consider the question carefully before answering. Your answer should not be religion bias.

This is for my homework- Can you drink a milkshake through a straw on the moon? The answer may include air pressure and/or Bernoulli's principle (because that's what we're learing right now.)
Thank you!

My science fair experiment involves putting chalk into different liquids with different acidic levels and seeing what happens. None of the chalks seem to be too eaten away and none have come close to disintegrating. It's rather a bummer. Anything I can do to make this project better/work?

Here are the clues to the amount of cash inside this treasure chest on ebay now, auction started 11/1/06 and ends 11/6/06.
It is currently at 71.00 high bid.
This puzzle has given me quite a headache.....

these are the clues:There will be AT LEAST 30 BILLS in the chest...

There are only TWO DENOMINATIONS of bills...

There will be NO LESS THAN 10 Bills in one of the denominations...

One of the denominations is NOT A $1

NEITHER OF THE DENOMINATIONS is a $10 or $20!

One of the denominations is NOT A $5!

There is NOTHING GREATER than a $100 Bill!

All the bills inside this chest are REAL SPENDABLE US CURRENCY!

BONUS CLUE: There are NO $2 BILLS either!

OK so last night in French class someone was telling me that cats sound different in France than here in England. And that the same kind of animal can make make different sounds depending on the location. I'm thinking someone is pulling my leg... but just in case they aren't can anyone present some evidence? I just don't quite buy it!
