My science fair experiment involves putting chalk into different liquids with different acidic levels and seeing what happens. None of the chalks seem to be too eaten away and none have come close to disintegrating. It's rather a bummer. Anything I can do to make this project better/work?

Chalk is a calcium salt, and as such will probably dissolve in an acidic environment. Try some common acidic liquids like seltzer (a weak acid) , vinegar or lemon juice.
