Well, "Force is equal to the product of mass and acceleration" seems to have done wonders for us for the past few centuries, so I'd have to go with that.

Fundamental to all processes in the universe is the flow of heat from hot objects to cold objects which causes energy to convert from one form to another while at the same time in the conversion of energy between forms you lose its usefulness and ultimately all usefulness of energy is used up and heat is gone so nothing will ever happen again.
