Aren't they the most successful life forms, being the most adaptable? But I would think they are also among the simplest, and oldest. Why doesn't evolution tend to simplify, rather than come up with more and more complicated organisms?

Then again, doesn't a bacterium or a virus need something ELSE to live on?

I dunno. Ignorance never stopped me from asking questions before. Discuss. Thanks!

Being raised in the south & in the 70's pretty much decided your religion for you, hence "Bible Belt Region". As I got older & thought for myself I've come to my own decisions that makes me a non-christian. However, due to my open mindedness (about religion), I feel that there is nothing wrong with following men such as JC and other men who claimed to be prophets, if it brings order in your life. I could even see myself attending various churches of different religions, due to my feelings that if it brings you happiness to not stop being apart of that crowd--even though you've realized that evolution makes more sense. There is nothing wrong with praying as it only brings you good karma, however praying to a man or being seems disillusional. Obviously, we were created, but the question shouldn't be by what as we know that it takes water to sustain life, therefore water, energy, and all the other forces that were compacted making earth, simply made us.
