Do you think people in unpopulated areas would be able to hear it? Would it cause everyone who heard it to go deaf? This is assuming that everyone is outside when they scream, and that they scream at the top of their lungs. It would have a lot of dogs howling at the very least, and that would cause even more noise!I wonder what would happen. What do you think?

Let us assume for a moment that the universe we live in is finite, it means everything we could learn about anything is found within the boundary of our universe therefore knowledege itself is finite. What do you think will happen to us if someday (it could be thousand to milliion years from now) there's no more question to ask, there's no mystery to solve and total understanding of everything is achieved. Can you picture what kind of society the mankind will have?

Do people with blonde hair run a risk of dying their hair on accident by habitually washing their hair with colored shampoo or something, because the color in the shampoo HAS to go somewhere.

I believe the 1000+ page book touches on a broad range of topics with the first 300-odd pages devoted to math. I can handle a certain amount of math (graduate engineer level) but not if it becomes too advanced.
I would also like to know if Penrose writes in an easy style for the layman.
Furthermore can someone please direct me to a good intro on the net to string theory and its applications?
Thanks
