A. 5(x^3)^4 (3x^2)

B. (x^4-4x+3)/ ((√x)+1)

The answer for A. is:
180x^13 + 30x^13

The answer for B. is:
(2√x ((√x)+1)(4x^3-4) - x^4 - 4x+3) / ((2√x)((√x)+1)^2)
I'm not sure how to get the answers! Please help!!

I had to do a few problems. I'm just checking if they are right. Thanks.

2x = 26
x = 13

4x = -12
x = -3

6x = 72
x = 12

8x = 808
x = 101

10x = 130
x = 13

12x = 360
x = 30

3x = 99
x = 33

6x = 96
x = 16

A lamina has the shape of a closed region bounded by the graphs of x^2 + y^2 = 4 and x + y = 2, and has the density
p(x,y) = x*y. Write the iterated integral for the moment of inertia about the y-axis. Then evaluate the integral.

I am unsure about how to write the bounds for this, I suppose you could use polar form and write r=2, but I am not too sure how to go from there if that is the case in terms of bounds etc. to set it up properly.

i dont want the answer to this as much as i need a clear step by step method of how it is done, and why any important stages happen. my question is

y = (e^-t)sin 2t

show y is a maximum when t = 1/2 arctan 2

i know that dy/dt = 0 when y is a maximum
and i got dy/dt = (e^-t )(sin 2t + 2cos2t)

but dont know if that last bit is correct. assuming it is, i still don't know where to go from here?

Solve this linear programming mixture problem: A small stereo manufacturer makes a receiver and a CD player. Each receiver takes 8 hours to assemble, 1 hour to test and ship, and earns a profit of $30. Each CD player takes 15 hours to assemble, 2 hours to test and ship, and earns a profit of $50. There are 160 hours available in the assembly department and 26 hours available in the testing and shipping department. What should the production schedule be to maximize profit? What is the maximum profit?

I've got:

x being the stereos
y being the CD players

theres 160 hours for assembly so
8x+15y<160

theres 26 hours for shipping
x+2y<26

Then
x>0 and y>0 as givens
How do I graph the feasible region?
I don't have a graphing calculator =[

What is the volume of the tank? Round answer to nearest cubic foot?
A propane tank is made up of a cylinder with hemispheres
on each end. If the total length of the tank is 6 feet and
height is 2 feet,what is the volume of the tank? Round
answer to nearest cubic foot?

I don't know what they mean by 'height' here. I think they mean the tank is lying on its side, so 2 ft would be the diameter of each hemisphere, and the diameter of the cylinder.

That makes the radius 1 ft.
a sphere with a radius of 1 foot.

Volume of a cylinder = 3.14 x r^2 x height
=3.14 x radius x radius x height

Volume of a sphere = 4/3 x 3.14 x radius^3
= 4/3x 3.14 x radius x radius x radius

Volume of a hemisphere =4/3 x 3.14 x radius x radius x radius x 1 /2

2 Hemispheres makes one sphere
Volume of composite solid=Volume of a cylinder + Volume of a sphere

(3.14 x 1 x1 x 6 ) + (4/3 x 3.14 x 1 x 1 x 1) =
18.84 + 4.18666666 =23.02666666
Round answer to nearest cubic foot? answer is 23
volume of cylinder is 3.14x1x1x6=18.84 or 3.14x1x1x4 = 12.56?
