Draw a right-angled triangle with sides of length 1, 2 and hypotenuse sqrt(5). If we call the angle between the side of length 1 and the hypotenuse x then it's clear that tan(x) = 2/1=2, so x =arctan(2). Then
sin(x) = 2/sqrt(5).
