Two questions: Please keep in mind that this is an introductory course that mixes computation and a little bit of theory. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

1.) Show that f(z)=|z| is continous.

2.) Use the fact that a function is continuous if and only if the inverse image of every open set is open to show that a composition of two continuous functions is continuous.

Please include an explanation. Thanks...

I'm stil at the beginning and have some difficulties

Let (X, M, u) be a mesure space such that u(X) < oo. Let f_n be a sequence of integrable complex valued functions defined on X that converges uniformly to a function f. Show that f is integrable and that Int f du = lim Int f_n du.

Show that the condition u(X) < oo is really essencial for this theorem.

Thank you for any help. Does this problem get easier if at first we suppose the functions f_n are real valued and then extend the conclusion to the complex case?

Simplify the square root, if possible - square root of 52

2007-09-17 05:54:20 · 4 answers · asked by E501P 1

why because it can be used to make multiplying easy

29*71
because (a+b)(a-b)=a^2-b^2

29*71=50^2-21^2
50^2=2500 (5^2=25 bung a couple of noughts at the end)
and 21^2=(20*22)+1 (the reverse) (2*22=44---add a zero)
therefore 29*71=2500-441=2059

want to know more ask me

also 22 rule

know all the squares up to 25
and multiplying becomes real easy trust me (ok so i am number freak)

why ask me

Can anyone help? I need the answer to these questions:

1) Solve, then state if conditional, inconsistent, or an identity equation.
1/2b-1/2=1/4b
I did this to answer so far... but I'm not sure if I did it right:
4(1/2b-1/2=1/4b)4
4/4b-4/4=1/4b
4/4b-4/4b-4/4=1/4b-4/4b
-4/4= -3/4b
-1=-3/4b, 1=3/4b Is that right?
