Determine whether the sequence converges or diverges. If it converges find the limit.

1) (3 + 5n^2)/(n + n^2)

2) an= n/(1+ radical n)

3) an= (-1)^(n-1)n/(n^2 + 1)

4) {n^2e^-n}

Please either explain how to do it or show me the steps so i know..thanks! :)

I don't know how to do these problems without guessing and checking. Will someone please help explain the reasoning to me? Thanks.

Find the value of "r" that makes each sentence true.

2^(r+5) = 2^(2r-1)
I know that the answer to this problem is r=6 but how??

also...

m^r / m^15 = (m^3)^r+2
(m^r) is in the numerator and (m^15) is in the denominator. also on the right side of the equation the 3,r, and 2 are all exponents.
For this problem I got that the answer was -8.5 and it works but the book got -10.5 (-21/2) and i couldn't even get this to equal both sides of the equation?? suggestions??

Wow. The class barely started and I'm already failing. Our first test was on stuff like Algebra 2 and Pre-Cal. I failed the test so badly that it's not even funny. Out of the statistics, about 30% of our class failed, 32% got A's, and the other remaining students got B's-D's. The test was a nightmare for me.

However, on the other hand, we are covering limits right now and I find the chapter pretty easy. >_>

I'm having mixed thoughts about this class now. Jumping from an extremely hard test to an easy chapter? Does Cal AB material stay relatively easy like this or do they become sharply harder later?
