If I want to discount $1 from $65 how do I figure out what percentage that $1 is in relation to the $65? My guess would be 1/65th but that sounds odd.
I know $1 from $100 would be 1% but I stymied on how to apply it to an odd figure like 65 (or another)
Please help me figure out what the formula would be not just this specific answer.

Can someone please explain to me what EXACTLY the partial differential means?? I haven't done calculus since high school and this ∂ symbol is confusing the hell out of me in my chemistry major. I can't seem to imagine what is actually happening when this ∂ symbol appears.
.
Thanks!

I work for a company that uses a weird timeclock. My normal schedule is 3pm to 11pm. When I clock in, my timecard reads: 15.00 (that's if I am here on time) Then when I punch out, my timecard reads: 23.00 (assuming I leave on time)

I get totally confused when my timecard reads:

In at: 15.98 (my best guess is almost 4pm) help
Out at: 23.05 (my best guess is 11:10pm) help

Does anybody know a formula I can use to figure out my time.
Or even better does anyone know a free website that can do these calculations for me?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
