Solving in terms of x, I presume?

(a/x)+(b/x) = c
(a+b)/x = c
(a+b) = cx
(a+b)/c = x

b=3
c=5
x=1

2/1 + 3/1 = 5

Multiply both sides with x. Write yourself a note that x can't be zero.

a + b = cx

x = (a + b) / c
