This is actually a question that has perplexed me once I became familiar w/ Floridian geography as a kid. Jacksonville actually has the largest population out of all the cities in FL. Does that mean that Miami has fewer people 'cause of all the suburbs in it's metro area, e.g. W. Palm Beach, Hialeah, Ft. Lauderdale? Does J'Ville have few suburbs? & what is the economic & geographical significance of the northeastern FL city? If I'm also 2 understand, Jacksonville is actually a few miles from the coast & I think the St. John's River empties there. I'd like some good info on comparisons between Jacksonville & Miami.

depsite having such a long name, and I dont even know the reason for that (maybe just copying the idea off the UK?), I dont understand why they should use 'the' in their country's name.

If you were to cycle/walk/drive starting from the very top of the West coast of Washington State and continue down the West coast, then across the very bottom of the Southern United States to the southern tip of Florida. Then up the East coast to Maine and finally across the U.S./Canadian border back to your start point in Washington State what would be your total travel distance? And has anybody attempted this?

I think it is because if it was sphere we'd all slip and fall! So therefore it is flat (hence proved). I am thinking of opening a FEC (Flat Earth Club) at my school and recruiting as many people.
