The only possible answers are either a or b. By the process of observation, we know that Africa is partly in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. C is eliminated because South America is bisected by the Equator. D is eliminated because they are the names of countries, not continents. If you believe you must answer a or b then it should be "a". I know that Australia is a continent but for some reason I also believe it has another designation I can't remember. (It is also known as Australia/Oceania.)

Well, parts of South America are in the Southern Hemisphere. Same for Africa and Asia. Australia and Antarctica are entirely in the Southern Hemisphere. Also, China and Japan are not continents.

both a. and b. are equally correct and incorrect since Antarctica and Australia are the only continents completely in the southern hemisphere. Africa is partly in the southern hemisphere.

so answers a. and b. are both slightly correct and incorrect.
