It was founded by secularists and it has great stocks of natural resources/wealth, so if anything should be prone to become a hedonistic society.
How has Jesus wrested control?

In Europe, I think there would be very few countries with a percentage of Christians even approaching the 70-80% the US has.

bunnygrl43 - false. It was not founded by Christians. Why dont you go and read what Jefferson had to say about Christianity for starters...
And yes, I know Christians are a majority. Did you notice I even wrote that in my question? Reading helps. I recommend it.

The Corinthian. Thanks for giving me a laugh.

"The Lord Himself has said, "I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood."

Wow, must be fun to have your mind!

Of course, don't confuse people *claiming* to be Christians with actual Christians.

Look at the required behaviour of Christians:
1. Tolerance of others
2. Concern for the poor and downtrodden
3. Avoidance of personal wealth and self-importance
4. Forgiveness of others sins.

Does that sound like modern day USA?

We have what is called in many circles a "Puritanical Society"... The reason being most of our colonies were established by early church goers from other parts of the world looking to escape taxation and tyranny of existing churches in Europe mostly. Especially the C of E...
Think Puritans... Or Mayflower and Plymouth rock...
Now, don't be fooled by the number 70-80%... Most of those who claim to be Christian in this country are not active church members, and most could not tell you 2 or 3 verses in the bible.

honestly i dont believe dat it was founded by secularists. but leaving dat let me say dat it has become hedonistic society with all wealth dat they have. In any revealed religion pleasure is in direct conflict with religious demands which means that America is not a christian society or it is fighting with itself to stablize itself with the demands of the religion. if u are an american and think so then it would be quite disheartening to know what kind of religious leaning would be found or not found in Europe or elsewhere.

No U.S was founded by Christians. The majority of people in the U.S are christians. if the majority is christian that means they have influence. People came to the U.S at first to escape religous perscution. the founding fathers wanted church and state to be sepreate. they wanted a place where people could worship freely. Every country has christians since Christianity is the largest religion in the world.

Not very familiar with you US History, are you? Either that or you are trying to pass off your contentious lies as truth.

The US was founded by many peoples, but the majority we of Christian faiths. The founding fathers, as they are called, were very much Christians.

The Lord Himself has said, "I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood."
