Because someone from your ancestors had blue eyes.
It was worst if your "parents" had blue eyes and you had brown, because from parents with blue eyes the child must have blue eyes.

Because brown is a dominant gene trait lets say the trait for brown is B and blue is b so if you have the genes BB or Bb, then u have brown, if u have bb u have blue, Ur parents were both Bb, so u received a b from each giving u a bb, but the rest of your family could be Bb or BB

One of your grandparents or even or great great grandparents must have had blue eyes.
I found out last year that genetics can continue for years and years.
Even if your great, great, great, great grandfather had blue eyes the gene can still manage to pass on to you.

I'm the exact same way. I'm the only blue eyed member of my family.

I'm assuming that u earned the recessive gene of blue eyes. Incidentally, how come u asked this in the Geography section?

There called recessive genes. They might not be used in your parents but they are in there DNA so you got them when they didn't. Even if you had brown eyes but it was recessive in there genes it would be in yours and if you married another browned eyes person it could happen to your child.

Genes from your family go back three generations. Your parents, your grandparents, and your great grandparents on both your mothers side and your fathers side.
