So I finally found a way to combine my two dream jobs. I want to become sometype of engineer, however I want to work part-time at the local fire station. The fire Dept. is more of a family thing, (I would be the fourth generation fire firefighter, and if I become chief then I would be a fourth generation Fire Chief) It is pretty neat, and it is something that I want to do. I can join when I turn 16 (Which is November) and become a cadet.

So for my job I would like to become an engineer who works on designing Fire Engines. What type of degree would I need? Or what type of degree should I pursue.

All help is appreciated. THANKS.

Build giant nuclear powered air conditioners. Put them on rockets and get them into a low earth orbit. Use the cold temps of space to cool the air.

We would launch some number of them say 30 or 40, place them at various points around the globe to cool the atmosphere.

It would work!

This principle is used in fire fighting machines viz.sprinkler.
This we experience in day-to-day life also.Water from Shower is cooler than tap water. How? What is the physics/science behind it?

I love physics very much, from its theory to its math and everything about physics! (well, maybe not the electricity part). But i seriously hate chemistry!! All the chemical equations and such drive me mad. The problem is, i'm thinking of taking a mechanical engineering degree without taking Chemistry as an A Levels subject. Is it doable? I mean, is Chemistry a prerequisite for mechanical engineering?

Oh by the way, do i need to learn stuffs like electricity or electronics thingy majingy for mechanical engineering??
