.If a breaker set in auto closing mode it will close (if any demand) by itself not by manual. Spring charge mechanism of a breaker aready charged only enegise the the close coil it will charge the breaker. or otherwise If a MCC(busbar) fed by 2 feeders(A or B) busbar If one tripped another one will charge the busbar by Auto closing or High speed bus transfer.
1phase mean phase + Neutral ie 110AC 0r 220v ac in( BS)
3 phase mean L1,L2,L3 3X110V,or 3X220Vor ,3X415V SYSTEM

This is only normally done on fairly large utility distribution systems. An automatic system senses a breaker has opened and re closes it automatically. It is usually adjustable for the number of times this will happen.

The theory is that the fault that caused the trip may have either blown itself clear or blown some fuses so that power can be restored to part of the system. Obviously after a number of retries, if the fault still occurs, then the breaker must stay open until someone isolates or repairs the fault.

I have never seen where this would be done on single phase (small networks). There are other methods of making small systems resilient to fault trips such as isolated grounds used in nuclear or military installations.

The circuit will automatically close after the load has been removed that tripped the circuit breaker. Also called Automatic Reset circuit and should be used with caution.
