After I use chicken wire for the shape, what do I put on top to make it look like a real volcano? I'm using soda and mentos for the explosion or lava or whatever you call it. And could I use something so that I don't need chicken wire?

Hello friends,

I'm looking for back issues (1980-2007) for a geology periodical
called "American Association for Petroleum Geologists" (AAPG) I am
told that I can read them online, however I prefer to read the
hardcopy. Does anyone know where I can purchase these or find back
issues?

Thanks,
Mike

We need to change the lyrics to a song and replace them with vocabulary words on our unit. So far we have
Hi P-wave!
Hi S-wave!
You Wanna Go For A Ride?
Sure, S-wave!
Jump In!
Ha Ha Ha Ha!

I'm from an earthquake, In the lithosphere
P-wave's faster, it's the master
The S-waves can't get there, there's liquid or there's air
Frustration, no S-waves at the station.

Now we're really really stuck. Plz, plz, plz, plz, plz help. Some of our vocab words are crust, focus, epicenter, seismograph, richeter scale, volcano, tsunami, mantle, core, moho, plate tectonics, continental drift, sea floor spreading, hot spots, asthenosphere, etc. We only have to use 10 more vocab words, plz help even if it's only one line.

Its also known as Cinnabarite. The structure is:
HgS adopts two structures, i.e. it is dimorphous.[1] The more stable form is cinnabar, which has a structure akin to that for HgO: each Hg center has two short Hg-S bonds (2.36 Å), and four longer Hg---S contacts (3.10, 3.10, 3.30, 3.30 Å). The black form of HgS has the zinc blende structure.

But I didnt understand it much.

I try to do a little prospecting in my spare time and think I may have actually found something worth further investigation.

I found some basalt with what looks like veins of other volcanic rock intruding. There is some quartz at the borders of this and a sample under 30X magnification showed very small specks of gold.

Can't put photos on here but I have placed three potos of the rock formation on a forum:

I am interested in what you think of this. If it is worth further exploration, I may stake a claim!
