I'm looking for back issues (1980-2007) for a geology periodical called "American Association for Petroleum Geologists" (AAPG). I am told that I can read them online, however I prefer to read the hardcopy. Does anyone know where I can purchase these or find back issues?

Thanks,
Mike

I did an experiment to investigate the different organisms living in the different parts of fallen logs and noticed that there were barely any organisms to be found in/on a very decomposed log. Shouldn't this be where there are the most? Why was there hardly any?

The Lakeview gusher of San Joaquin Valley of California was America’s most spectacular oil gusher. On March 15 of 1910, it erupted spewing out about 9.4 million barrels of raw, crude oil over the California countryside for about 18 months. Crews rushed to contain the river of crude oil with a system of unprepared sand bag dams and dikes. Amazingly, the gusher never caught fire during its gassy, 18-month stint. Half the oil was captured a processed but the rest flowed into local rivers, agricultural lands, the air and the water table.

What was the significance of this event??

Land levels rise becasue vegetation and animal matter dies, forms soil, and eventually becomes sedimentary rock. The same happens in the sea. Does this mean the Earth is growing and getting bigger?
