Yes the tide goes in and out each day. You can see the lines in the sand, and driftwood lying about just like on the ocean. I live in Chicago near the lake, and have always vacationed in Michigan along the lake, also.

I'm just guessing,yet since tidal forces are ruled by the closest heavenly body namely the moon I would say yes. P erhaps Iwould even say that all fluid bodies would be affected in some measureable way.
