Isolated means that there will be very few thunderstorms (low chance that your location will have one). Scattered means that there will be more thunderstorms, with a decent chance that your location will have one.

isolated thunderstorms are in small specific areas scatterd is stormes over a large area
I was glad to answer but just curious as to why you would ask this in a geologyQ/A instead of the weather Q/A a meteorologist could be more informative

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOSTLY IN ONE PLACE, WHEREAS SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POPPING UP ALL OVER !!
