How many people reading this would actually accept anything a person said about natural history if he claimed to be a geologist while spouting biblical references and declaring his absolute faith in the literal accuracy of the bible? Is there anyone here who would actually entertain the thought that he might really be representing a scientific view? Is biblical literalism still considered an "alternative" science by more than the fundies and ill-informed people who are impressed with their pseudoscience and techno-babble?

.Some straightforward questions for a geologist who is a Christian who believes in Noah's flood only a few thousand years ago .

1) I have recently read your post hoc explanation that the land was pretty flat everywhere, 6000 years ago. (This, no doubt, because it's impossible to give any kind of scientific explanation where enough water came from to raise the earth's sea level by nearly 30,000 feet; and then where did it all go?) So, according to you, there were no mountains 6000 years ago. I guess this implies that you would disagree with Genesis where it says said the flood covered the mountains and the Arc came to rest on the Mountains of Ararat. Do you disagree with this contradiction to your claim about the absence of pre-deluvian mountains? The bible says they existed. What do you say?

2) Can you cite any major encyclopedia or college textbook which states that the earth is less than 10,000 years old?
