Wise people are not easily fooled. We are talking normal cycles here, nothing more and nothing less.
Could Canute turn the tide? NO!
Can we change the weather? NO!
These people are earning big money pervading a myth. Don't listen to them.

Another scare monger story to enable the Chancellor to tax us off the roads and pay extra on our holiday flights etc etc etc -- let's face facts - even the scientists agree that the Earth goes thru these changes every few thousnad years or so - followed by an ice age - so what's next - Oh! Well Done - you've saved the planet - BUT sorry guys, we have to increase taxes coz the ice age is coming next - load of old bunkum

The planet may well survive us, and whatever life form learns to adapt to the new living conditions might do very well after we've gone extinct. I think it would be more accurate to say that we have a finite amount of time to change our self destructive habits if we wish to continue to occupy this planet. We could very well be declared by Mother Nature to be - - - The Weakest Link!

Well scientists are trying to clear an asteroid which can hit earth in 2029. Other serious issues like global warming and its effects(see film 'the day after tommorrow')

Sod living as I am now. I'm spending on my credit card and travelling the world in the best hotels, and eating in the best restaurants. If we are still around in 5 years, I will sue!

Well I don't think enough is being done but this thing about taxing us more to pay for all these things is just going to put people off where people usually want to help without being taxed to.

It is the usual hysterical nonsense from the media. They love using their computers to model disasters. Remember the basic law of computer modelling: rubbish in, rubbish out.
