I was wondering if it was possible to unbalance the Earth's rotational velocity and rotational direction if all the Earth's population were to gather in one location, such as a single continent, along with everything else that is movable, such as cars, animals, boats, etc.
Would this displacement of mass have any effect on the Earth's center of gravity and thereby alter the spin velocity or direction?
Thanks for any answers...

Theoretically, if a person could travel to the exact center of the Earth, would there be a point where they would be weightless? To clarify, imaging traveling from where you are now down through the Earth. Once you pass the center and continue traveling straight, you would now be on the "other side" of the Earth and gravity would be pulling you backwards. Since this is the case, it seems that there must be some "neutral" point.
Thanks for any answers...
