ok smarty, here it goes. The bible DOES mention dinos in various places. First of all in the book of Genesis, it is written that God created 'Tannin' before any other living creature. In actual translation 'Tannin' means Dragon but in most of the texts it is translated as 'sea-monsters or sea-creatures'.
Secondly please read the book of Job where in God' s dialogue with Job, God mentions two creatures namely - 'Behemoth' and 'Levithian'. The Behemoth definitely pertains to what we consider Dragons and Levithian definitely describes a kind of Dinosaur.
Read up the Good book and you'll get the answers, you doubting Thomas.

Dinosaurs are mentioned in the Bible, yes. Though not too much. But think of it - how many species are NOT mentioned in the Bible? Billions!
As for the timeline, they have been created in the same day as the other land animals - in the sixth day of the world (the water dinos, in the fifth). They died shortly after the Flood, probably because of human hunters.

The Bible is a book of moral precepts, plus a little bit of what was written down at a later date of the oral history of the Jewish people. It is not, and was never intended to be a textbook on archeology, paleontology, geology etc. Anyone who suggest it is, is, with all due respect, talking through their hat. For heavens sake, do not apologise for raising what might be seen by some to be a 'doubting' question. Never believe everything people, particularly your elders and 'betters' tell you. If you want to know about religion and morals, speak to a priest, minister, pastor, rabbi, imam, philosopher or whoever. If you want to know about dinosaurs speak to a paleontologist. It never ceases to amaze me that religious people think they have a right to make pontifical statements on everything and anything under the sun, but get all huffy if some else dares comment on religion.

Dinosaurs diverged from their archosaur ancestors approximately 230 million years ago during the Middle to Late Triassic period, roughly 20 million years after the Permian-Triassic extinction event wiped out an estimated 95% of all life on Earth.[30][31] Radiometric dating of fossils from the early dinosaur genus Eoraptor establishes its presence in the fossil record at this time. Paleontologists believe Eoraptor resembles the common ancestor of all dinosaurs;[32] if this is true, its traits suggest that the first dinosaurs were small, bipedal predators.[33] The discovery of primitive, dinosaur-like ornithodirans such as Marasuchus and Lagerpeton in Argentinian Middle Triassic strata supports this view; analysis of recovered fossils suggests that these animals were indeed small, bipedal predators.
The first few lines of primitive dinosaurs diversified rapidly through the rest of the Triassic period; dinosaur species quickly evolved the specialized features and range of sizes needed to exploit nearly every terrestrial ecological niche. During the period of dinosaur predominance, which encompassed the ensuing Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, nearly every known land animal larger than 1 meter in length was a dinosaur.
The Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction event, which occurred approximately 65 million years ago at the end of the Cretaceous period, caused the extinction of all dinosaurs except for the line that had already given rise to the first birds. Other diapsid species related to the dinosaurs also survived the event.

Why would the Bible mention dinosaurs? The Old Testament is a bunch of legends, myths, moralisings, religious poetry, national self-aggrandisement and bits of genuine history all slung together mostly about 2100 - 2400 years ago by a bunch of religious nuts and national propagandists who hardly knew what was over the horizon. You might as well believe Shakespeare's story of Macbeth.

Dinosuars now reside in sedimentery rock layers. Decendants of dinos, like chickens, still exist however. So, as far as the Bible question is concerned, they existed before, during, and after.

Waiting on the bible for a scientific answer is like waiting for the coming back of Christ. Keeping waiting brother, keep waiting.
Oh, the alternative? Well if you are a BELIEVER, then just believe one of the explanations offered by those who think they were there when the "good book" was written.
OK, you want the truth? Turn to science for scientific queries and to scriptures for religious questions. Period!

It is believed that civilization has risen and fallen at least 4 times. The bible concerns the 4th. Dinosaurs would be before the first. So in bible times they would have had no concept that dinos ever existed!

In the first 5 days of creation God made all of the universe and animals in it. The dinosaurs survived until the flood - after the flood climactic conditions were such that they could no longer survive.
The gospel according to me - as you I am not being doubting or trying to make anyone appear foolish this is just how I see it.
