mercury always stands out in round bubbles when put on a plate , what can make mercury turn to liquid and make it dissolve it water or other liquid.

I am studying chemistry (outside of school) and am looking for some good online resources, I've got a book that seems to outline and give some information on pretty much everything, but it doesn't have everything.
Skip wikipedia and search engines though, I can figure those out for myself :-)

When the air is flown at the comfort temperature (22 degrees) it gets cold, but when flown in a bathhouse it gets hot. What is the point? Which science could explain this phenomenon - chemistry or physics?

melting range 79.3-80.1 degrees C are recovered. What conclusions can you draw from the melting ranges. This question is from my inorganic chemistry. I do not really understand the importance of the melting ranges. Can someone help me out.
