Depends on the material in question. There are numerous kinds of stones, all of which have different densities. Rubber, while not only varying in density based on its manufactured properties, can also become more or less dense if it is placed in a solvent which either swells or shrinks it. Wood density also changes, based on the kind of wood, where the wood was taken from, and how it was processed after being chopped down.

uh need the type of wood, stone, rubber etc. it's all chemical specific, but with thinking you can tell if it's above and below 1 which is the density of water.

wood floats density below 1

stone sinks density above 1
