Actually, you're not far off. In order to save money, the sides of pop cans have been getting thinner and thinner for years. But the top, where there is a seam, needs to be fairly thick. I'm not sure if the top contains more than the rest of the can, but it sure is thicker.

the way you phrased the question, it can't be true.

A small portion of the can can not have more aluminum ( or anything else) than the entire can.

nope. the top's thicker but it's still a part of the can (it's put on once filling is done)

Yes it is possible.Cans as far as i know are made of rolled steel.Only the top is aluminum.Don't eat it it is bad for you.
