My Mum is looking after my Nan's key lime plant while she's away in Cyprus until early February. No offence to my Mum, but usually when she's looking after plants, they don't stay healthy for long.

And surprise, surprise, recently it has started getting numerous holes in the leaves, my Nan told my Mum that a few weeks ago she found a caterpillar in the pot. But won't all these holes make the plant die? And can anyone say what the holes might be caused, they're medium size? Can anything be done to help the poor plant get better? Please help!

And also, can anyone give me some advice so we can care for the plant without it dying? We're watering it enough [I think] by putting some water in the little dish below it so it doesn't drown. Advice please?

She's only been gone since Wednesday and I know my she will be distraught if it dies.

Help!
Thanks,
Lorna

I have a casette, Plant Music-The Secret Music of Plants- c. 1984 Sun Productions, produced and/or distributed by New World Productions out of Twickenham, England.

It's a chilling cacophony of tones that span the musical scale. The cover says that the recording captured the actual music of plants through a "highly technical recording process, and yet produced without interference from man."

The person who gave me the tape said a recording of ants working and communicating had also been made. I have searched the Net for info and have come up dry.

These recordings were supposedly made 23 years ago. If the ability existed then, one would expect many microsound recordings to have been made since then, and I'd like to hear them all. I'd be grateful for any help. Thanks.
