I have a casette, Plant Music-The Secret Music of Plants- c. 1984 Sun Productions, produced and/or distributed by New World Productions out of Twickenham, England.

It's a chilling cacophony of tones that span the musical scale. The cover says that the recording captured the actual music of plants through a "highly technical recording process, and yet produced without interference from man."

The person who gave me the tape said a recording of ants working and communicating had also been made. I have searched the Net for info and have come up dry.

These recordings were supposedly made 23 years ago. If the ability existed then, one would expect many microsound recordings to have been made since then, and I'd like to hear them all. I'd be grateful for any help. Thanks.

Cassette tape would not have the quality to reproduce such low sounds without significant interference from either the environment or the equipment being used. I doubt they had the computing power or software to filter it out to any great degree. It was probably these interferences which were recorded.
How would anyone know?

Frankly, I don't want to know what a carrot is saying as it is being ripped from the ground!

Yes, plants make sounds. The water is under tension in the xylem and if the water column breaks...pop,pop,pop. Below is a very recent paper.

I would hold onto you "Plant Music"...it might be a collector's item some day

That frequency would not perceive by human, if nowsaday technology is capable of capturing such frequency however would not be able to make it as genuine, because we cannot hear it.
