Here is the whole question. Darwin’s work built on the ideas of earlier scientists. Give two examples of scientists whose work laid the foundation for Darwin’s theory of evolution. Also, describe the nature of their contribution and how it affected the development of Darwin’s theory.

I understand that phenotype and genotype have something to do with this process but i'm not sure how this works. Thank you x

I watched this really interesting programme the other day about things we would be able to do in the future but there seems to be a debate whether we should gnetically enhance people for example or let evolution occur naturally. Its a bit random but was just wondering peoples views on the subject

Hey, first off this is my FIRST question! Pretty kool, huh!

OK, so I did my complete AP Bio. Lab 5 BUT I really want an A so can u check my answers? Yes, I actually showed my answers.

I got my data.

Question 1. Identify two hypothesis being tested in this lab.

ANSWER-
1. Germinating Peas will have a higher respiration rate than non germinating peas
2. Germinating Peas at higher temps. Will perspire more than peas at cooler temps.

NOTE: I’m not sure if perspire is the word I’m looking for…it’s on the tip of my tonguw but I can’t get it. ANY HELP?

Question 2. This activity uses a number of controls. What conditions must remain constant? Why?

ANSWER-
1. Temp. of water because false temp. would result in incorrect data.
2. Vol. of beads since dry peas do not have the same vol. as germinating peas
3. Number of gas molecules?
4. Gas Constant?

NOTE: I put q. marks next to the last two because I’m not sure about them…I derived these from the PV=nRT formula!

Question 3.

I DID THE GRAPH CORRECT!

Question 4. Describe and explain the relationship between the amount of O2 consumed and time.

ANSWER-
As time went on the amount of O2 in the germinating peas increased. When time went up the amount of O2 consumed went up in both germinating peas at 10 degrees C and room temp. The dry peas were also able to consume O2 except at a smaller and slower rate while germinating peas consumed a greater amount of O2 over a given period of time.

Question 5.

I DID THE CHART CORRECTLY TOO

Question 6.

NO NEED EITHERJ

Question 12...yeah I skipped a lot

q- If respiration in a small mammal were studied @ both room temp. and 10 degrees C what results would you predict? Explain.

My only question is that am I right in thinking that more O2 would be more required for respiration @ 10 degrees C in a small mammal than a mammal @ room temp?

If so I have my explanation.

CAN YOU MAKE ANY CORRECTIONS IF POSSIBLE. THANKS!
