star trek, not star wars had it right. it would result in war. If you clone, who do you clone? would you include genetic modifications? make a "better" human? would these superior beings not feel the need to take over from their inferior parents? Don't fool yourself into thinking that it isn't going on now. Because you can do a thing doesn't mean you should do a thing, is a rule that not all scientists believe in. When you mix politics with science, it is possible to get another Hitler or his pet Dr.mengle. the last thing this world needs now is another "master race" and it's dictator to lead it.

We have enough rear ends among us without finding a way to clone more humans. Didn't Hitler try to emulate the theory by ridding Germany and the conquered nations of intellects who would oppose him,the Jews whom he thought were inferior(plus their wealth was inviting),He also got rid of his own disabled and retards to purify the race. So what advantage benefits us thru cloning? Convince me and I might alter my view.

The technology is not ready. They cannot be produced without problems so it is not ethical. I don't have a problem with it theoretically if they can solve all the problems.
