Like, when Global Warming floods the world, therefore wiping us out (or most of us anyways) would the surviving creatures evolve into a new, maybe even better, type of animal that will take over the world?

The sad fact for evolutionists is that ID researchers don't have to answer to them. The ID researchers will keep doing their research, and the evolutionary establishment cannot stop them, though it would like to.

Stephen Jay Gould (for example) - who appointed him the pope of Dawinist religion? NO ONE. Researchers like Stephen Meyer do not owe him or anyone else an explanation or an apology for what they do, and for what they discover.

Unfortunately, the evolutionary establishment will not tolerate any questioning of their most cherished theories. What ever happened to open-mindedness?

To all of the believers of intelligent design:

What is the evidence for intelligent design? What are the "messages in the DNA"? What are the things that prove a designer? How are they tested?

2007-11-22 15:44:27 · 6 answers · asked by feral_akodon 4

Many scientists have pointed out that there are elements of language embedded in the DNA code. Grammar, syntax, organization, delivery of "messages," etc.

Whether this fact is the result of random development, or guided by an intelligence really doesn't matter - it's worth looking into, isn't it? Don't you find it fascinating?

It may help to solve some of the logical fallacies and conundrums of evolutionary theory, and theories on the origin of life.

But so many evolutionists are scared to death of "creationism" or any non-material explanation for the origin of life that they are missing a great opportunity for the progress of science and knowledge.

I was watching a new BBC programme called Earth: The Power of the Planet and it said that the earliest lifeforms to come into existence were single-celled bacteria called stagocytes (?). Are they our ultimate ancestors in evolutionary terms or were there other, subsequent instances of new lifeforms coming into being?

In other words, was life sparked more than once?

Probably not. But intelligent design is interesting because it notes patterns and information within the DNA code.

I don't think one has to be an atheist to be interested in studying these patterns.

Evolutionists are quick to say that the evident "design" in life is a result of random chance. That life only "looks like it was designed."

That's cool with me. But whether or not design is inherent in living systems was initiated by God, or by random chance, we should not be afraid of exploring it.

Oddly enough, many evolutionary scientists shy away from investigating this aspect - probably for fear of losing funding, or giving credence to creationism.

I guess they are more interested in protecting their theories than investigating the truth.

I am doing a biology project for school and I was growing bacteria from my hands in a culture dish. I restricted access to oxygen for one of my petri dishes, but the bacteria colonies are still growing. Either I did it wrong, or there are anaerobes on our skin, right?
