I don't understand how rational people can reject a concept that is so logical and so greatly supported by the scientific community. Is it religion, and if so, what is the threshold where you WOULD begin to question your faith?

The process of deciphering the genetic code was finally conculde by supplying single synthetic mRNA codons made up of a known sequence of nucleotides to a complete set of tRNAs with their amino acids bound to them. investigators then discovered which tRNA and which attached amino acid bound to which codon. If you repeated this experiment, which codons would you expect not to attract tRNAs with amino acids bound to them?

do you believe in it?
because i honestly think that it's the most ignorant idea anyone has ever come up with... to say that we came from the same thing. that would mean like, a banana is my great (great great x100) uncle... oh and that elephant! he's my grandpa!

i do understand microevolution. yes, if two cats have sex their kittens aren't going to look the same. and i can even see cats tigers lions... all that stuff, coming from a common ancestor. but has anyone seen a monkey pop out a human? because if it came from mutations, the monkeys would still be mutating, therefore still producing humans, no ?

A small population of chimpanzees are living in a habitat that undergoes no changes for a long period. How might genetic drift affect this population?

a. will accelerate the appearance of new traits
b. will promote survival of chimpanzees with beneficial traits
c. will increase the number of alleles for specific traits
d. will reduce genetic diversity

I thought it might be a, but the answer is d. Isn't genetic drift caused when the populations are isolated, and one species evolves into two? If so, then why is genetic diversity reduced?

My boyfriend and I were watching a television show about conjoined twins; he came up with the question, "I wonder.. what is the stance on the DNA of both babies? Do both of them have separate DNA or do they share it..? CAN they even share it?"

Just wanted some insight, it's a interesting question.
