B cells are part of the aquired immune system. They fall under the 'lymphocyte' category, along with T cells and NK (natural killer) cells.

B cells can be divided up into plasma B cells and memory B cells. Plasma B cells are the cells that produce antibody, specific to a certain antigen (when they're stimulated). Memory B cells are formed during the primary anitgen challenge and can 'remember' the antigen for a quicker response next time.

These are known as B lymphocyte cells, which produce anti-bodies for a specific antigen (foreign body) they are kind of cells with a memory, which every time an antigen gets into your body, it knows what anti-body to make.
