Say, do lizards have religion? Is it just a human thing, with our highly advanced brains? And why has it been a part of every culture way back to the dawn of humanity? Is it because a sort of higher power does exist, or is it because the human brain has developed a need for the sense of spirituality?

It's true, there are a lot of religious people out there, but even most who aren't believe that we humans have 'souls'. I know it's a bit depressing, but why can't we just be a collection of genes? After all, genes bascially control what kind of person we are predisposed to be, with some environmental influence thrown in.
A soul is usually thought of as the essence of a person, and not necessarily their physical body. It's the part of us that "lives on", for those religious people. What if we just die? What if there is nothing afterwards, would the soul truly exist, or is it all in our heads?

I know it is scientifically possible, (it can't not be!) and I'm sure someone in a lab somewhere must have done it.

I'm also wondering if a cloned human, created approximately the same time or very very shortly thereafter the conception of the host human, would demonstrate the same attributes of the host human. Would they be as alike as twins? Or would it go much farther than that, such as thinking exactly the same way and such a heightened sense of the other's emotional state as to appear as a sort of telepathy?

Isn't it possible that some people's misplaced morals are getting in the way of such an important scientific discovery?!?

We're all supposed to be related, did our relatives cook and eat each other at any point? I read something in a fifties sci-fi journal, it was crazy, the author was like 'yeah, if there was no intelligence in the child's eyes, it was thrown into the pot with him, and that's how man made himself more intelligent'... but is there any truth in this shocking assertion?

This is my last year at high school and I need to do well in Biology. But I'm just not interested! This is my 2nd year studying it and i've had 3 different teachers so it's not the teachers who are the problem.

The thing is, I've got heaps of pressure from my family. Two of my uncles are doctors and my Grandad is a Professor in Botany. I would ask them for help but they don't live near me!

How can I make it more interesting so I do well! Please help!!

Suppose, for example, that the horrors of global warming were to occur within the next hundred years and brings on another ice age. Before this happens, could geneticists alter human DNA to produce anti-freeze in the human blood stream like huskies? If the opposite happens and the Earth is struck with a global drought the likes of which are unimaginable, could humans be bred to develop sacks of stored water like camels, allowing them to survive for extended periods without drinking? Just little sublte things like that.
